The Golden Prairies

The Golden Prairies is where the pack goes to hunt, well one of the few places for big game hunting. Depending on the season, you can find many types of prey from deer to buffalos to even wild boar. The sky is uncovered by any trees and every so often, you can see eagles and hawks circling far above. Hunters of the pack are allowed to be hear, or indeed any full-grown wolves. However, because there is near to no cover in the area, pups shouldn't be here alone. Also, this is sometimes a dangerous part as this is at the edge of the territory and stranger wolves sometimes try to claim the area.

Smiling up at the dominant, he rose up on all fours and licked her cheek.

She smiled and licked him back, nuzzling him gently then followed him,

Aura's ears perked as she heard the dominants talking softly. She laughed and opened one eye watching as the two walked away.

Razzu watched the dominants leave out of the corner of his eye.He knew the two would be fine together for he put a lot of trust in both of them.Closing his eyes he fell into a deep sleep.'When the time is right I will show Aura a sight she will never forget.'He thought to himself before his mind drifted away and his body relaxed.

Aura's eyes dropped a little as she watched the sun makes it's path towards the horizon the animals around finding there way to there homes. She watched as a hawk swooped off toward the forestand a prairie dog disapear into the dirt. She yawned softly her eyes only half mast as she watched the sky feeling content and more relaxed here not as worried and nervious as she was when she had traveled alone. She looked over to see Razzu had already fallen asleep and smiled softly.

Razzu slept in dreams until nightfall when he stirred and glanced over at aura who'd fallen asleep beside him.Shaking his ruff and stretching his legs,his body no longer felt sore.He gazed up at the stars for a moment before licking Aura's muzzle waking her for the journey they would take tonight."aura wake up."Razzu said in a soft tone.

Aura didn't know when she had fallen asleep, but wasn't surprised when she was awoken. She yanwed as she opened her eyes blinking a little as she looked up at Razzu smiling. "Hello" she yanwed again as she stood and stretched groaning a litle as she did so. She shook her fur and then looked back at Razzu tilting her head "Where are we going now?".

"Some place I think you will enjoy."Razzu said with a smile of glistening white teeth.Then his face turned serious and warning darkened his eyes."It will be quite the walk and you mustwatch your step when I tell you so.Understood?"

Aura smiled and laughed softly bumping Razzu's shoulder with her own. "You have already seen i am very swift of foot. I will be alright worry wart". She became serious as she looked at him "But I promise to be careful okay?".

Razzu felt something deep within his mind,a thought he had for her.But he cast the thought away and nodded keeping the seriousness on his face."Follow me then."He said turning and heading towards the mountains in the distance away from the praries.

Aura laughed and smiled watching Razzu turn and leave. She watched him for a second feeling happy before trotting off after the larger male her form seeming small and fragile next to his own.

Once razzu sighted the open field he barked and sighted a rabbit a long distance from where they were.Unable to turn away from temptation razzu bolted into a run.The rabbit fled and razzu's heard leaped at the pleasure of a chase.

Aura laughed softly when Razzu took off after the rabbit. She followed after Razzu making sure to stay behind him to let him get the rabbbit just happy to run.

Razzu was forced to run in a zigzag before he pounced and snapped his jaws on the rabbits neck with a crack.He settled where he was panting heard but overjoyed for the run.

Aura smiled and laughed as she stopped beside Razzu "Good catch now to go get my own lunch". Aura looked around the prairies and liked her lips when she noticed a prairie dog with its back to her. She smiled and started to stalk the small creature.

Razzu settled by his meal and decided to examine Aura's skills with small prey.He observed her stock and her position from the prey before her.'Good form' he thought.

Aura smiled knowing full well that Razzu was watching her every move. She stalked closer to her prey before launching herself at it. She easly caught and killed the prairie dog. She picked it up and trotted over to Razzu her head held high. She laid down next to him and started to eat.

"Impressive."Razzu chuckled."Excellent technique."He nipped at Aura's ear before tearing into his meal as well.

Aura smiled at Razzu and laughed "Thank you, you learn pretty quickly and well when you have to fend for yourself". Aura went back to eating her catch happy that her belly would be full for the night remembering times when she hadn't been to lucky.

Razzu looked up from his prey and gazed at Aura curiously."Being on your own is difficult but if you know how to do things right you'll survive."

Aura nodded softly sighing "Ya it was hard to fiqure out things at first, but I think the worst part about being alone, was just that the loneliness not having the companionship like you and your sister. I never want to have to do that again be completely alone".

Razzu nodded in understanding of Aura's feelings."Rezsia and I have had many adventures together.He hope to settle down with a pack and not have to worry about too much.The last adventure I expect to have is with my pack and those I love and care about."

Aura laughed and nodded "Ya I think I have had enough of adventuring for now". Aura leaned down and started to eat wondering about what this new chapter in her life would bring.

Razzu laughed softly and went back to his own meal.'It would be an adventure indeed' He thought.

Aura finished off her prey and burried the bones before laying back beside Razzu.
